A new international partnership for Ptakha Camp

We are very happy to share an important new collaboration around Ptakha Camp.

The story began when the Harvard Business School Club of the Netherlands approached the Ukrainian International Ballet with the idea of creating a charity event connected to Ukraine.

Ukrainian International Ballet proposed Ptakha Camp as a concrete initiative to support and introduced the Harvard community to our work and to Open Door Ukraine, helping bring the partners together around one shared goal.

That introduction has now grown into a special charity gala, which will take place on 28 November 2026 at Singer Laren in the Netherlands.

The evening is organised by the Harvard Business School Club of the Netherlands and the Harvard Club of the Netherlands, together with partners supporting Ptakha Camp.

The programme will include a performance by Ukrainian International Ballet, a recital by Ukrainian pianist Artur Buskov, dinner and a live charity auction.

The funds raised through the evening will support the development of 12 additional cottages at Ptakha Camp, helping us increase our capacity and take another important step towards year-round operation.

For us, this collaboration is about much more than one event.

It brings together several communities, each contributing something different:

• The Harvard community — brings its international business network and fundraising capacity.
• Ukrainian International Ballet — initiated the connection with Ptakha Camp, helped shape the collaboration and brings the artistic voice of Ukraine into the evening.
• Open Door Ukraine — provides the Dutch-Ukrainian charitable framework and support.
• Ptakha Camp — turns this support into direct care, recovery and a safe environment for children and families affected by the war.

This is exactly the kind of long-term partnership we hope to build around Ptakha Camp.

Because recovery cannot exist only during the summer.

Childhood cannot be seasonal.
